Countdown to the Young Investigators Virtual Meeting
On behalf of the American Society for Investigative Pathology (ASIP), I am thrilled to invite you to the Pathobiology for Investigators, Students, and Academicians (PISA) 2024 Young Investigator Virtual Meeting, November 5 - 7, 2024.
The PISA2024 Young Investigator Virtual Meeting will highlight short abstract-driven research talks by our trainees. Five abstract sessions will showcase the mechanisms underlying various hepatic, cardiovascular, pulmonary, inflammatory, ophthalmological, malignant, musculoskeletal, and gastrointestinal pathologies. We celebrate and thank all the trainees who submitted their abstracts for a short oral presentation.
Additionally, we will feature panel discussions throughout the conference to explore career and personal development topics for trainees and early-career biomedical scientists. Speakers will address issues such as alternative (non-academia) career paths, work-life balance, training as an international student in the US, and navigating difficult conversations in the lab. These sessions are embedded in the program and will occur between abstract-driven talks.
Special thanks to the PISA2024 Planning Committee for their time and effort in developing the PISA2024 scientific program and career development sessions.
If you have any questions about ASIP or the virtual PISA2024 meeting, or if you would like to get involved with ASIP-related opportunities, feel free to contact Bill Coleman (wbcoleman@asip.org) or Lisa McFadden (lmcfadden@asip.org).
We look forward to celebrating the research accomplishments of our trainee members during PISA2024. We hope to see you on November 5th-7th, from 2 PM-6 PM EST. Registration is FREE!
